Marketing Cloud Engagement

Marketing Cloud Engagement offers several updates in Winter '27, including a guided setup that connects your account to unified data, new match rules for complete customer profiles, smoother scheduled file activities, expanded WhatsApp messaging options, conversational email support, stronger security controls, and new tools for AI-assisted operations.

  • Marketing Cloud Engagement+
Connect Marketing Cloud Engagement to Data 360 through a single guided setup in Salesforce Go. Build more complete customer profiles with less manual effort using additional Identity Resolution match rules. Enable two-way conversational emails with Agentforce agents.
  • Journey Builder and Automation Studio
Automation Studio activities now process filename replacement tokens regardless of letter case. Journey Builder can deduplicate email addresses to stop redundant sends, and the Journey Notifications dashboard provides a consolidated view of issues and warnings to streamline troubleshooting.
  • Messaging
Keep up with customers who hide their phone numbers using Business-Scoped User IDs, connect multiple Marketing Cloud Engagement accounts to a single Data Cloud instance, and catch Direct Send template category mismatches before they trigger account restrictions.
  • Security
Marketing Cloud Engagement introduces several security enhancements to help you protect your account and data. These updates include a consolidated security dashboard for monitoring health scores, logging of Data Extension access in Advanced Audit Trail, and support for phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (PR-MFA) methods, such as Touch ID and Face ID. Admins can also manage login allowlists by using recommended IP ranges. Step-up authentication protects against unauthorized access by requiring admins to reauthenticate before performing critical security tasks. A summary dashboard provides at-a-glance information about the API client secrets for your installed packages, and client secrets are revoked automatically if they’re compromised.

  • Expand Marketing Operations Automation with New Tools for the MCP Server
Manage more of your Marketing Cloud Engagement operations through natural language with 40 tools added to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. MCP-compatible AI assistants can now create and run Automation Studio activities, manage campaigns and Content Builder folders, upsert bulk data, query data extensions, erase contacts, and retrieve email tracking events. These tools call core API capabilities so your AI assistants automate manual tasks across more areas of the platform.
