Configure connectors in Business Manager to send platform events, including sf.cc.order.placed, to your external systems. When a platform event doesn't represent the business event that you want to send, declare and send a custom event from your cartridge. B2C Commerce eventing, now generally available, was previously available as a pilot feature.

How: In Business Manager, configure a connector for the endpoint that receives events, and enable the event types that you want to send to it. To send a custom event, declare the event name in the cartridge package.json file and call dw.event.EventManager from a script.
