# Route B2C Commerce Events to External Systems (Generally Available)

Configure connectors in Business Manager to send platform events, including `sf.cc.order.placed`, to your external systems. When a platform event doesn't represent the business event that you want to send, declare and send a custom event from your cartridge. B2C Commerce eventing, now generally available, was previously available as a pilot feature.

**Where:** This change applies to B2C Commerce.

**How:** In Business Manager, configure a connector for the endpoint that receives events, and enable the event types that you want to send to it. To send a custom event, declare the event name in the cartridge package.json file and call `dw.event.EventManager` from a script.
