Why: Eliminate the risk of promising the same hardware to multiple employees. By proactively blocking stock during the sourcing phase, you ensure that available counts remain accurate in real-time. This automation reduces fulfillment delays caused by unexpected stockouts and provides a more reliable audit trail of committed versus on-hand inventory.
How: To enable soft reservations, navigate to Setup and update the Product Item and Inventory Reservation objects. Then, configure your hardware sourcing flow to include the Reserve Any Asset selection logic.
