The new Data from Other Sources option uses three fields (eventId, eventType, and dateTime) to make data ingestion more flexible. Ingest data from non-web and non-mobile sources, such as Agentforce conversations, POS transactions, IoT device telemetry, and self-service kiosks, by using the Server-to-Server (S2S) API. Previously, the S2S API prevented data ingestion from sources that lack browser or app context.
Where: This change applies to Data 360 in Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions. This feature is also available in Government Cloud.
When: This feature is available starting in May 2026.
How: From Data Cloud Setup, select Web and Mobile SDK, and then create a Server-to-Server connection. Select Data from Other Sources, and upload your JSON event type schema with the required eventId, eventType, and dateTime fields.
