Configure three matching rules and three corresponding duplicate rules to prevent duplicate person accounts when Shopper Profile Sync creates or updates shopper records. The updated three-rule model replaces the previous single matching rule and standard duplicate rule, which didn't cleanly distinguish guest records from registered records or let a newly registered shopper claim a prior guest account.
Where: This change applies to Salesforce orgs connected to B2C Commerce through Shopper Profile Sync.
How: In your connected Salesforce org, from Setup, create the Registered Shopper, Guest Shopper, and Registered Claims Guest matching rules, and then create the three corresponding duplicate rules.
