Export Data Classification Policies

Data Classification policies can be exported as a .zip file. This allows users to import classification policies into other orgs.

  1. In the Settings tab, Data Migration section, click Launch Own Secure Policy Wizard.
  2. In the Own Secure Policy Wizard window, click Export.
  3. Select the policy types to be exported and click Review to continue.
A summary of the export is shown, including the number of fields exported and types of field classifications.
  4. Click Export to start the process.
  5. Once completed, close the window and check to make sure the .zip file was successfully downloaded.

The export file name must start with "PolicyMigrationExport" or the wizard won’t recognize it as a valid file. Manually changing the data in the export file invalidates the file and it can no longer be used for importing.

  5. A summary of the import is shown, including the number of fields added, fields removed, and types of field classifications.
