Platform Settings for FedRAMP

Set a session timeout to log out users after an interval of inactivity. Establish IP address restrictions to help ensure that only trusted sources can access the platform. See what URLs to allowlist so that the Own Government Platform can securely communicate with the Salesforce environment.

Note
Note Within the Own Government Cloud platform, single sign-on is the only authentication method available for login. Individual password settings, such as expiration and re-use, can't be configured by Master Admins.
  • Set the Session Timeout for FedRAMP
The session timeout setting sets the interval of inactivity before a user is automatically signed out of the Own Data Platform.
  • Configure IP Address Restrictions for FedRAMP
We recommend establishing trusted IP addresses or ranges to help ensure that only trusted sources are allowed to access the Own Government Cloud platform.
  • Own Regions and Allowlisting for FedRAMP
Allowlisting IP addresses and URLs is a critical configuration step. It helps ensure that the Own Government Cloud platform can securely communicate with the Salesforce org to perform automated backups, data seeding, and archiving.
