Master Admins can configure what IP addresses are allowed to access the Own Data Platform. Changes to Permitted IP settings affect all the regions in the account.
Permitted IP settings are exclusively available to Master Admin and Admin users. Non-admin users do not have visibility into these settings. Admin users have read-only access, while Master Admin users can make modifications. Any Master Admin, regardless of their region, can implement changes. It is advised to designate a single Master Admin user for all regions within an account.
- Click the Security icon to open the Security Page.
- Scroll down to the Permitted IPs section.
- To add an IP address, click Add. The Add Network options appears on the right of the screen.
- Enter the IP Address to permit (in masked IPv4 format) and click Add. It will appear in the IP Address table at the bottom of the screen. You must enter a subnet mask. Calculate the subnet mask at: http://www.aboutmyip.com/.
- If you wish to convert an IP address range, the following tool is useful in determining the IPv4 conversions: https://www.ipaddressguide.com/cidr. Use the IP Range To CIDR section to convert.
- Your current IP will be flagged appropriately.
- Once you’ve added all the IP addresses you want to permit, click the Enable permitted IPs toggle.
- If your current IP address isn't one of the permitted IP addresses, the toggle will be disabled.
- The Enable Permitted IPs message appears.
- Click Enable.
- The toggle will turn blue with a checkmark to confirm that only permitted IPs are now able to access the platform.
To remove an IP address, hover over the IP address and click on the Delete button that appears.
To disable the IP Restriction, click the Enable permitted IPs toggle. The Disable Permitted IPs List? message appears. Click Disable. The platform is now accessible from any IP address.
