Create and map custom appointment statuses to appointment categories. You can create
multiple appointment statuses with the same status category, but you can’t map multiple status
categories to the same appointment status.

From the object management settings for service appointments, go to Fields &
Relationships.

Click Status.

In the Status Picklist Values section, click New.

Enter a label and an API name.

Select a status category.

If you want to make the status the default for the
master picklist, select Default.

Save your changes.
