Configure your Bitbucket Cloud repository to store project files and manage team access. Each Lifecycle Center pipeline requires its own Bitbucket Cloud repository as the single source of truth.

| To set up Bitbucket as source control: | Lifecycle Center Admin |
Before you begin, complete these requirements:
- Accounts: All team members need a Bitbucket Cloud account. If your organization is new to Bitbucket, set up a workspace and at least one Bitbucket project. See Bitbucket documentation.
- Project structure: Make sure that the repository contains an sfdx-project.json file in the root directory. Lifecycle Center automatically creates a Bitbucket repository in the supported structure. However, you can create your own repository or use an existing repository that follows the Salesforce DX project structure. See Add the Salesforce DX Project File to the Bitbucket Repository.
- Branch protection: As best practice, configure branch protection in Bitbucket for branches such as main, staging, and integration. This configuration makes sure that the stage branches aren’t deleted after a change request merge.
Add Team Members to the Bitbucket Workspace
Add team members as workspace collaborators so they can access the Bitbucket workspace through Lifecycle Center. See Grant access to a workspace.
Note For repository-level access, see Grant repository access to users and groups.
Confirm that each team member has accepted the invitation.
If a team member didn’t receive the invitation, ask them to check their spam folder or contact the person who set up Lifecycle Center.
Connect the repository in Lifecycle Center and create your project.
