Lifecycle Center (formerly next-generation DevOps Center) uses concepts that may be new
to you—pipeline, branches, work items, and source control. Before setup, understand what these
are, how they connect, and how Lifecycle Center handles most of the complexity for
you.

| Not available in: EU Operating Zone. EU Operating zone is a special paid
offering that provides an enhanced level of data residency commitment. Lifecycle
Center is supported in orgs in the EU that aren’t part of EU OZ, per standard
product terms and conditions. |
- Source Control in Lifecycle Center
Lifecycle Center uses source control as the single source of truth for your project changes. It keeps your changes outside the org so your team can collaborate in one shared space.
- Source Control Terms in Lifecycle Center
Understanding these terms helps you work more effectively and respond quickly to issues.
- Source Control Branches
A branch is a local copy of your project where you can make changes without affecting anyone else’s work.
- Work with Developers
Salesforce admins and developers work on the same org but make changes in different ways. Lifecycle Center provides a shared space for both roles without changing how either works.
