Builder Central is a beta service, and some behavior is still evolving. Keep these limits in mind.
- Generative AI can be inaccurate. Review everything Builder Central produces before you deploy.
- The metadata visualizations are read-only. Make changes by describing them to the agent, not by editing the diagram.
- Builder Central checks in with you as it works rather than pausing at multiple formal approval gates. Some early previews show multi-checkpoint flows, but that isn't the beta behavior, so don't rely on it.
- During the beta, your builds and chat history are deleted after 7 days of inactivity. The 7-day timer applies to your whole workspace, not to individual projects, so any activity in Builder Central resets it. Work you've already published to a sandbox stays in that sandbox.
- Builder Central isn't available in Salesforce first-party (1P) orgs.
- Some metadata types might not yet be viewable in the current Beta version of Builder Central.
- Data360 isn't supported in Preview Orgs, so the preview option fails for AiAuthoringBundle projects. To test your project, publish it to a sandbox instead.
- Preview isn't available when you build from a production org. Review your build in a sandbox instead
- Preview runs in an ephermal preview org tied to your project and used only for validation. When you preview again, only your new changes are applied
- When you preview an app that includes an agent, the app deploys the preview org but the agent isn't published there, so you can't test the agent in the preview org. Test it in the sandbox instead.
- Only Developer and Developer Pro sandboxes are supported during the beta.
- Provisioning waits are normal. Data Cloud and Einstein generative AI can take roughly 15 to 90 minutes to provision, and a preview might render partially until provisioning finishes.
- Deploy and publish are still evolving. During the beta, deployment targets your sandbox. Focus on building and testing your app rather than the sandbox-to-production pipeline.
- There's no stop or cancel control once a build is in progress. Wait for the current step to finish before you make another request.
- Design inside Builder Central is interface-only and doesn't read your org's data. Use a preview org to validate the app against real data. Agents aren't deployed to the preview org, so test an agent in your sandbox. Preview orgs don't include Data 360 data, even when Data 360 is provisioned for the sandbox, so test Data 360-grounded agents in your sandbox.
- For this release, use Builder Central's visual editing on a desktop. This refers to where you build, not to the type of app you can create.
- Occasionally, a raw error code, such as 429 or 503, can appear instead of a friendly message. If you see one, wait a moment and retry, or paste the error message in the chat and ask the agent to fix it.
