Build Salesforce apps and agents by describing what you want, in plain language. Learn what Builder Central is, who it's for, and what you need before you start
You describe what you want in plain language, and Builder Central builds a working app or agent that you can preview, refine, and deploy to your org—no code required. You work with the Build Agent, which proposes the project details up front or confirms them as it builds. It checks in with you along the way, so you stay in control throughout. Think of yourself as the architect and the Build Agent as the builder: you decide what to create, and it handles how to create it. In this guide, app refers to what you build with Builder Central, whether that's a Lightning app, an Experience Cloud site, or a portal.
This guide covers what you need before you start and the general build lifecycle for an app. For a hands-on walkthrough that builds one app from start to finish, look for a Builder Central Trailhead module.
Who Builder Central Is For
Builder Central is built for admins and builders. If you're comfortable in Setup and you think in objects and flows, Builder Central is for you.
Builder Central works alongside two other tools. Each tool supports a different point in your work.
- Builder Central is your starting point for turning an idea into a working app or agent through a guided, conversational flow.
- Use Setup with Agentforce to configure your org or troubleshoot a setup task.
- Developers use Agentforce Vibes for pro-code work in a code editor (VS Code). Builder Central is the no-code path, where you build by describing what you want, while Vibes is for working directly in code.
