Backup History Tab in Backup & Recover for Salesforce

For each backup service, the Backup History tab provides an overview of all backups performed. See what type of backup was done, how long it took, and how many records and files were backed up.

The Backup History Tab

The Backup History tab displays a comprehensive list of backups, including those with incomplete file downloads due to API limitations or errors. You can:

  • Search for the objects. As you type, the options automatically filter.
  • Filter the list by selecting All, Aborted, Label, Tag, or Status.
  • Export the backup list as a CSV file.

The Backup History tab includes these columns:

Column Name Description
Status The status of the backup (Success, Warning, or Error).
Type The type of backup performed: synthetic full backup or full backup (see detailed descriptions below).
Started At The date and time the backup was initiated.
Tag Tags assigned to the backup.
Label Labels assigned to the backup by the system or user.
Data Duration The total time taken to backup the Data.
Items The number of Records backed up and the number of Files backed up.
Note
Note Objects that can't be replicated are listed on the backup history tab with a "-"entry for Removed, Changed, or Added. Objects listed with no entry in those columns have no changes.

Backup Types

Synthetic Full Backup: An incremental backup that merges with previous full or synthetic full backups to create an updated full backup. This backup reduces run time and API consumption, while maintaining all the benefits of a full backup.

Full Backup: A backup that copies the entire set of sObject data. While this backup takes longer than a synthetic full backup, done periodically, it ensures a high level of data integrity.
