Flow Approval Process Definition Versioning
A flow approval process definition can have one active version at a time. The flow approval process definition version used by an orchestration run is the version that’s active at the time the run starts.
- If you activate a new version of a flow approval process’s definition after an orchestration run based on that definition starts, the orchestration run continues to run the definition version that it started in.
- Only orchestration runs that start after the new version of the flow approval process was activated use the new active version.
Flow Definition Versioning
Approval and background steps call flows. A step uses the definition version of the flow that’s active when the step starts.
- If you activate a new definition version of a referenced flow after the orchestration run associated with an approval submission starts and after the associated step run is created, the old version of the flow runs.
- If you activate a new definition version of a referenced flow after the orchestration run associated with an approval submission starts but before the associated step run is created, the new version of the flow runs.
