To make sure that an MCP server is eligible to remove, follow these steps.
- Remove the MCP server tools from any agents or other automations that are using them. For external MCP servers, see View Agents That Use an External MCP Server.
- For a Salesforce custom MCP server, deactivate the server in API Catalog.
- For a MuleSoft MCP server, remove the server’s consumer endpoint in Anypoint API Manager. Removing the endpoint prevents API Catalog from syncing the MCP server into API Catalog again.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter API Catalog, and then select MCP Servers.
- Select either the Salesforce Servers or External Servers tab, depending on the type of server to remove.
- In the MCP server list, for the MCP server to remove, select Remove.
