Marketing managers submit a program for approval to route it to the right reviewers for sign-off before it goes live. They can recall a submission while it's still pending. While approval is pending, the program stays locked.

Your Salesforce admin sets up Advanced Approvals before you can submit a program for approval.
By default, approvals route to the submitter's manager, so set each user's manager in Salesforce. Your Salesforce admin can change the approval workflow and its steps to match your company's requirements, so the approval path can differ.
- On the marketing program, click Submit for Approval or Recall from the highlights panel.
-
Enter any submission comments and submit.
The program routes for approval and stays locked while approval is pending.
If you don't have a manager assigned, you get a notification. Ask your Salesforce admin to set your manager.
- To pull back a request that's still pending, open the program and click Submit for Approval or Recall again.
Approvers find their requests on the My Approvals card on the home page of the Marketing Planning & Operations app. Opening a request shows the approval work item, where the approver approves or rejects it. The program's Approvals tab shows a read-only approval history.
