To take some manual work off your plate, automate common marketing tasks with a flow. Flow can listen for customer actions or events and then automate message sends, update or create records, and so on. For example, send an SMS message when someone signs up for an event.

At Ursa Major Solar, marketer Lance wants to create a flow that welcomes new subscribers and promotes their solar products. First, Lance creates a campaign named "Product Updates - Welcome Series" and selects the Event option on the campaign record. In Flow Builder, they configure the flow to start when someone opts in to their Product Updates subscription.
Lance builds the flow to send a welcome email immediately, introducing Ursa Major Solar, and thanking the subscriber for opting in. Three days later, subscribers who opened the welcome email receive a product spotlight email that highlights the company's residential solar panel line. Subscribers who didn't open the welcome email instead receive a re-send with a different subject line. The second email gives them another chance to engage before they move further into the series. Subscribers who click through to a product page at any point exit the welcome series and enter Ursa Major Solar's sales consultation flow, where they can be assigned to a sales team member. Subscribers who don't engage in the first three emails exit the flow.
