Configure marketing triggers to detect shopper behaviors and events such as abandoned carts, product browsing, inventory changes, and price drops. Then send personalized messages across channels. When marketers use marketing triggers in flows, the trigger exposes contextual data in the flow event resource. Marketers can use this data to personalize message content and build conditions, for example, sending messages only for high-value products or carts.

Marketing triggers use data transforms, and Data 360 charges credits for each transform run. A higher trigger frequency runs the transform more often, which can increase your org's credit consumption. Credits consumed are proportional to the number of records processed for the data model objects (DMOs) mapped to a trigger. See Billing Considerations for Data Transforms.

  • Set Up an Abandoned Shopping Cart Trigger
Configure an abandoned shopping cart trigger to re-engage shoppers who add items to a cart, but leave before completing their purchase.
  • Set Up an Abandoned Page Trigger
Configure an abandoned page trigger to reach visitors who view key pages and leave before completing a desired action. Use this trigger for high-value pages such as signup, plan comparison, or checkout- related pages.
  • Set Up an Abandoned Product Browse Trigger
Configure an abandoned product browse trigger to engage shoppers who view products or product categories, but leave without adding items to their cart or making a purchase.
  • Set Up a Product Back In Stock Trigger
Configure a product back in stock trigger to notify subscribed shoppers when an unavailable product becomes available again.
  • Set Up a Product Low Inventory Trigger
Configure a product low inventory trigger to notify shoppers when product inventory falls below a defined threshold.
  • Set Up a Product Price Drop Trigger
Configure a product price drop trigger to notify shoppers when the products they viewed are reduced in price.
  • Set Up a New Product in High Engagement Category Trigger
Configure a new product in high engagement category trigger to notify shoppers when a new product becomes available in a category they engage with the most.
  • Set Up a Birthday Trigger
Configure a birthday trigger to reach customers on their birthday or a set number of days before it. This trigger runs every day.
  • Set Up a First Purchase Anniversary Trigger
Configure a first purchase anniversary trigger to reach customers on the anniversary of their first purchase or a set number of days before it.
  • Set Up a Visitor Conversion Trigger
Configure a visitor conversion trigger to reach customers who visit your website a minimum number of times in a set period, but don't purchase or view a product page in that time. Salesforce evaluates your customers every day and automatically launches a personalized, multichannel journey when a shopper qualifies, so what once took days of segment building and journey wiring now takes minutes with no custom development.
  • Set Up a Reengagement Trigger
Configure a reengagement trigger to win back previously active customers who were engaged before a lookback period, but not within it.
  • Set Up a Replenishment Trigger
Configure a replenishment trigger to remind customers to reorder a consumable product as they approach the end of its consumption cycle.
  • Create a Flow for Your Triggers from a Template
Create a flow from a flow template to send trigger messages without starting from scratch. Each template includes ready-to-use email content, and merges field values such as {First Name} are personalized from the event payload when the flow runs. With a template, marketers launch a personalized, multichannel journey when a customer qualifies, without building audience segments or writing custom code.
  • Configure Custom Engagement Values for Marketing Triggers
Retail marketing triggers detect shopper actions, such as viewing a product or adding an item to a cart, from engagement values in your data model. If your data uses values other than the defaults, configure custom engagement values so that your triggers build audiences from your own data instead of hard-coded defaults.
  • Order Lifecycle API Automation Events
Use Order API events to start an automation event-triggered flow when an order lifecycle event occurs in an external commerce system. Order lifecycle API events provide an API-first approach to marketing automation, allowing merchant systems to trigger flows instantly when order-related events occur. This enables marketers to respond in real time with automated customer communications for order-based activities. Marketers can also use order data from the API payload to personalize the customer experience
