A Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipeline account is divided into workspaces. An account can contain multiple workspaces. Each workspace is a separate work environment with its own set of permissions. Changes that you make in a workspace apply only to that workspace.
- Account Settings
- Account settings allows you to manage everything that’s in your account, including basic settings, such as account name and logo, number of allowed workspaces, and rows, and all the way to more advanced settings, such as currency, and password permissions.
- Workspace Settings
- Your work environment in MDP displays one workspace at a time. Whenever you make changes they are only applied to the workspace you are working in. You can control your workspace settings, just like account settings. Each workspace is defined with a default maximum number of allowed rows (50M). If you exceed this amount, an error message appears informing you that the workspace cannot be created. To extend the default amount, contact your Salesforce MDP representative.
- MDP Manage Your Account
Manage your account to view data, user actions, and analytics for your account. - Customize Your Account in MDP
After an account is created, you can customize it with your logo and specify access settings. - Activity Log in MDP
Users can view and audit changes made in the account in the activity logs. The Account activity log shows high-level changes, such as adding and deleting users. The Entity activity log lists the changes made to a specific entity, such as a data stream, report, and collection. - Exchange Rates in MDP
Manage your exchange rates easily and intuitively, see market rates, and export and customize your exchange rate table. You can set exchange rates at both the account and workspace levels. - Manage Users in MDP
Users with Manage Account Users permissions can view and manage users across their account and workspaces from account settings in the Manage Users tab. - MDP User Groups
You can create a user group to apply a set of content permissions and workspace user filters to users who need access to specific accounts or workspaces. A user role determines what a user can and can’t do, while a user group determines where the user can apply these permissions. You can assign a user to more than one user group. - Change Your MDP Platform Language
You can change the default language for a user or just for the current session at login. This is done per user at the account level. - Switching Between Accounts in MDP
Switching between accounts can be done through the account settings. This enables you to view another account’s settings, account users, workspaces, and data streams. - Account Deactivation in MDP
Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines offers two types of customer accounts: Paying and POC. If an account expires and no renewal contract has been issued, a deactivation process is automatically initiated.
