Extended Properties
- Date Breakdown
- Day - This is the default Date Breakdown and aggregates the data by a daily Date Breakdown.
- Week - Selecting this aggregates the date by a weekly Date Breakdown.
- Aggregated - Selecting this setting means that the data won’t be aggregated on a Daily or Weekly level. Instead, the data is assigned a Data Date based on the day of its retrieval. This setting is most useful for viewing Unique Measurements, such as Reach and Frequency without having a Daily or Weekly aggregation applied to them.
- Placement Display Mode - From here you can determine whether to retrieve Placements, Folders
or both:
- Leaves - Selecting this retrieves Placements
- Nodes - Selecting this retrieves Folders
- All - Selecting this retrieves both Placements and Folders. Selecting this option could lead to duplications of the Measurements data.
- Get Conversions - This is checked by default and pulls Conversions data to the Conversion Tag Data Stream Type.
- Get Creative Interactions - Selecting this pulls Video Interaction Measurements (such as Video Completions) into the Ads Data Stream Type.
- Get Full Placement Path - Retrieve the full directory path of the Placement in a Dimension called placementFullPath unmapped in Ads and Conversion Tag buckets.
In AdOcean’s UI, Creative Interactions are represented as different values under a Dimension called ‘Creative Interaction’, where the quantity of each type of Creative Interaction is placed under a Measurement called ‘Interactions’, as shown below:
| Creative | Campaign | Creative Interaction | Interactions (#) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Y | X | 25% Viewed | 5 |
| Y | X | 50% Viewed | 2 |
| Y | X | Fully Viewed | 1 |
For this data to appear correctly in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines, Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines performs a process similar to a Pivot Transformer, whereas the Dimension and Measurement are parsed as four separate Measurements - Video Views 25%, Video Views 50%....etc. As illustrated below:
|
Creative |
Campaign |
25% Viewed |
50% Viewed |
Fully Viewed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Y | X | 5 | 2 | 1 |
Known Issues
Checking the ‘Get Creative Interactions’ box in the Extended Properties retrieves an additional report from AdOcean. This means that every time the Data Stream is processed, it will be processing an additional report - potentially adding to the processing time. Additionally, due to the structure of the Creative Interactions data, as detailed above, Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines may not automatically parse some Creative Interaction Types.
QA Your Data
- Within Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines, create a Pivot Table for the same Date Range and Client as the Report you generated in AdOcean.
- Since the AdOcean UI is limited to showing only three Dimensions at a time, your view in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines should only include three Dimensions to match what you see in AdOcean.
- Match the Date Range of your view in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Data Pipelines to the Date Range you’re looking at within the AdOcean UI.
- Compare the Measurement Totals per row to ensure the data is correct.
