FUZZYVLOOKUP

The FUZZYVLOOKUP mapping formula helps identify two elements of text, strings, or entries that are similar but not identical.

The formula takes the value provided as the first parameter and searches for it in the dimension provided as the second parameter. If the value is found, the formula returns the dimension value as a third parameter. Both the lookup dimension and the output dimension must be related to the same entity.

Syntax:

FUZZYVLOOKUP(valueToSearch, searchDimension, returnDimension, threshold, workspaceLevel, {'streamfilter1', 'streamfilter2', ...}, useAutomaton)

  • To search through all the Workspace’s data, set workspaceLevel to true. To search only the current data stream, set it to false. The threshold parameter must be between 0 and 1, and 1 indicates an exact match.
  • To narrow your search to specific streams, enter the data stream names inside curly brackets.
  • If the search dimension contains more than 2,000 unique values, the formula fails.
  • To increase the search of unique values up to 50,000, set the parameter to true. When set to false, only 2,000 values are searched.
