Exporting Data When Field-Level Encryption is Enabled

Review the methods for exporting data from a data extension when Field-Level Encryption is turned on in your Marketing Cloud Engagement account.

When Field-Level Encryption is enabled, export data by using one of these methods:

• Use Contact Builder to export a data extension to an FTP site.
• Use Contact Builder to download the data extension as a CSV file.
• Use the Marketing Cloud Engagement APIs to retrieve the data.
  • In REST API, use the Custom Object Data endpoints.
  • In SOAP API, use the Retrieve method and the DataExtensionObject object.
