When an automation is stopped in Automation Studio, activities in the step that is in progress complete, but subsequent steps do not start.
Use these instructions to stop a running automation. Cancel email sends in progress in the currently running step from the Tracking tab in Email Studio.

Click Stop on the Workflow canvas.
A confirmation message appears.
- To stop sends that could be occurring when the automation stops, click Go to Tracking to cancel sends in progress.
- Select each job currently in progress on the Tracking page.

Click Cancel Send.
Note To pause an automation's schedule, click Pause.
