Delete Data from Data Streams

When you delete data from a data stream in your workspace within the Delete Data tab, only the measurements are deleted. The dimension values associated with the deleted data aren’t deleted nor are the classification data, dimension-only data, CRM entities, and overarching entities. To delete all data from a data stream, remove the data stream from the Data Stream List.

To delete data: Admins with Allow Delete Data permissions

In order to delete data, you must first enable the Allow Delete Data permission in the user’s settings. All Admins who have manage user permissions can enable delete data for all admin users in their account.

  1. On the Connect & Mix tab, under Data Streams, click Delete Data.
  2. To delete specific data streams click Selected data streams and select the data streams from the dropdown or select All data streams
  3. Select the date range that you want to delete data from.
  4. Click Delete Selected Data.
  5. (Optional) Users can delete any unused dimension values and orphan keys that aren’t deleted when you delete data.
    1. On the Connect & Mix tab, select Dimension Explorer.
    2. Select the entity that you want to delete dimensions or orphan keys from, and click Show Orphan Keys.
    3. Click Delete.
