Manage Users in Marketing Cloud Intelligence

Admins with Manage Account Users permissions can view and manage users across their account and workspaces from account settings in the Manage Users tab.

There are three Manage Users tabs. In each tab you can modify the table view from the settings icon to add or hide table columns, or reset table settings:

  • Account Users — View and manage all users that exist in the account. Edit, delete, copy, enable, and disable users. View user information, for example, user role, last login Date, and the workspaces a user has access to.
  • Access Requests — View and manage all the access requests for your account and workspaces. Marketing Cloud Intelligence users such as support agents or success architects are required to request access and receive admin approval in order to access an account or workspace in Marketing Cloud Intelligence. Without admin approval, access isn’t possible. When an access request is made, the admin receives an email notification with the access request details.

Access can be approved or denied directly from the email, or from the Request Access tab.

Access is always temporary—between 24 hours and 90 days, and can be revoked at any point.

View the access request information, for example, access time, workspace, request status, if the request was made by a single user or a user group, and access reason.

  • Access Invitations — Invite Intelligence users to gain access to your workspace using the access invitation tab. View and manage your list of invitations, revoke existing invitation, and send new invitations. Users receive an email invitation where they can accept or decline the invitation within two weeks.
  • Add a User in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
When you add users, you can specify their user role and permissions to control which actions they can take and which features they have access to.
  • Collection Permissions in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
Admins can set permissions to control access to collections for user groups, power users, and viewers. If a viewer has access to several workspaces, you can set permissions for each collection individually.
  • Delete a User in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
When a user creates an entity, that user is the entity owner. If an entity owner is deleted, the entities created by that user become unowned. Some entities, such as actions, report schedulers, and data streams with specific retrieval settings, require an owner to function properly. When a user is being deleted, Marketing Cloud Intelligence checks whether the user owns entities that require an owner. You can then assign the entity to a new owner to keep the entities functioning properly.
  • Re-enable a Disabled User in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
A Marketing Cloud Intelligence Admin can re-enable a user or another admin. Users can be manually disabled. You can also disable users automatically if they’re inactive for a certain number of days.
  • Invite a User in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
Invite Intelligence users to gain access to your workspace using the Access Invitation tab. Users have two weeks to accept or decline invitations. An email confirmation is sent to you when the invitation is accepted. You can view the invitation statuses in the Access Invitation tab.
  • Token API and Authorization Settings in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
Marketing Cloud Intelligence uses unique tokens to identify users and grant access to API resources. A user generates a token on the intelligence platform to be included in subsequent API calls. Account admins can enable or disable the Token API generator for specific users.
