You can apply collection permissions to a user group. If the group includes users with different user roles, such as admins, power users, and viewers, the collection permissions don’t extend the individual user role permissions.
For example, if you give Edit permissions to a user group that includes viewers, those viewers can only view the collection and not edit it. Similarly, if you set Restricted permission to a user group that includes admins, they can still edit the collection.
| User Role | Collection Permissions for User Groups | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Restricted | View | Edit | |
| Admin | Can View and Edit collection | Can View and Edit collection | Can View and Edit collection |
| Power User | Can’t access collection | Can view collection | Can edit collection |
| Viewer | Can’t access collection | Can view collection | Can’t edit, but can view collection |
