Details
- Not all fields retrieved via the YouTube Public API are automatically mapped. If you wish to include a certain field that's not mapped by default, use Manual Mapping.
- Since the YouTube Public API retrieves public data such as Channel Likes, Channel Views, Video Views etc., validating your data should be done by comparing it to those Measurements’ values for the specific element - IE: Channel, Video, and so on - you’re tracking on the YouTube platform.
- All the Measurements in the YouTube Public API are aggregated as LIFETIME Since this Connector only retrieves data for the date on which the retrieval takes place, it’s impossible to reprocess historical data in YouTube Public Data Streams.
Extended Properties
- Channels: Enter the Channel Name you want to track. You can specify up to five channels. To retrieve Channel IDs, select Channel IDs and then enter the required IDs. Separate each value with a comma.
Known Issues
- As the YouTube Public API can only retrieve up to 256 Videos at once, only the 256 most recent Videos are retrieved every time a YouTube Public API Data Stream runs. This limitation is per Data Stream, so if you wish to retrieve Channels containing many Videos, choose to pull one Channel per Data Stream.
