To map a file with measurement data in Marketing Cloud Intelligence Platform, the file must contain a date column. The platform automatically identifies and pulls date information. If a date isn’t included the file can’t be uploaded.
In some cases, the date appears in the file name. For example, a file named ‘File_06-01-2022’ contains a date in the file name but not as a date column in the data. To use the file name as a date column, you can apply a formula to the file and extract the date from the file name.

If your file includes a date in the file name but not in the file itself, you can extract the date field from the file name and use it as the date field. - Adding a Date in the Mapping Process
If your file doesn’t include a date in any of the fields, you can add a date in the mapping process, without having an existing date field in your file.
