Loyalty Program Page Layout

Update the standard and custom Loyalty Program page layout to include the Type and Subtype field. The Type field identifies whether a record represents a loyalty program or a referral promotion. The Type field comes with these values by default:

  • Referral—Added to the org by the B2B Referral Management license
  • Loyalty—Added to the org by the Loyalty Management license

The Subtype field identifies whether a record represents a B2B or B2C referral promotion. The Subtype field comes with these values by default:

  • Business to Business—Added to the org by the B2B Referral Management license
  • Business to Customer—Added to the org by the Referral Marketing license

If users create a Loyalty Program record in an org where B2B Referral Management, Loyalty Management, and Referral Marketing are enabled, the Type field of the record is automatically set to Loyalty.

Promotion Page Layout

Update the standard and custom Promotion page layouts to include the Promotion Code field. In B2B Referral Management, channel managers use a unique code for each referral promotion. The code uniquely identifies each promotion and the promotion that the referral activities belong to.

The promotion code is optional in Loyalty Management. Loyalty program managers can use the code to uniquely identify loyalty promotions.

B2B Referral Management supports leveraging Loyalty IDs generated externally as Advocate Referral Codes. An advocate referral code is a combination of the loyalty ID and the promotion code. When processing advocate and referred party referral activities within the context of a referral promotion, the referral events are processed using this referral code,

If a company wants their advocates to use their unique advocate ID, they must programmatically identify the promotion context and append the referral promotion code when processing Referral events. This ensures referral events are processed accurately in the referral promotions' context, and the correct referral rewards are issued to advocates and their referred parties.
