Set Up External Service

To integrate Energy and Utilities Cloud applications with external applications, set up a named credential and an external service.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To configure external service: Energy & Utilities Cloud Features
  1. Configure a named credential.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials.
    2. Click New Legacy.
    3. Enter EUNamed Credential for the label.
    4. Enter your external URL.
  2. Set up an external service.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter External Services, and select External Services.
    2. Click New External Service.
    3. Select From API Specification.
    4. Enter EUExternal Service. for the external service name.
    5. Choose Complete Schema for the service schema option.
    6. Select the EUNamed Credential you just created.
    7. Use this sample YAML schema to create an external service.
    8. Save your changes.
