# Set Up External Service

To integrate Energy and Utilities Cloud applications with external applications, set up a named credential and an external service.

### Required Editions

1. Configure a named credential.
    1. From **Setup**, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials.
    2. Click **New Legacy**.
    3. Enter EUNamed Credential for the label.
    4. Enter your external URL.
2. Set up an external service.
    1. From **Setup**, in the Quick Find box, enter External Services, and select **External Services**.
    2. Click **New External Service**.
    3. Select **From API Specification**.
    4. Enter EUExternal Service. for the external service name.
    5. Choose **Complete Schema** for the service schema option.
    6. Select the **EUNamed Credential** you just created.
    7. Use this [sample YAML schema](https://resources.docs.salesforce.com/rel1/doc/en-us/static/misc/EUExternalService_yaml.zip) to create an external service.
    8. Save your changes.
