Standard user permissions that grant the ability to access the Enterprise Sales App and manage quotes, including asset relocation, are required.
Before you begin, add assets to a quote for relocation.
- Go to the Summary tab of the quote.
-
Initiate the move operation:
- To move a single asset, from the Actions menu (often an inverted triangle icon) for the related quote line item, select Move.
- To move multiple assets, select their related quote line items, and then click the move multiple assets icon (often directional arrows). Alternatively, look for a Move to New Location button if available.
Note If you select assets that have linear relationships, make sure that you select the related assets too. See Moving One or Multiple Assets That Have Linear Relationships to a New Location. -
Select the Disconnect and Connect dates.
The Connect date must be the same as or later than the Disconnect date.
- In the Select new Location field, enter the first few characters of the new address. Select the new location if it appears as a suggestion. Alternatively, click New Location, enter the required details, and then save your changes.
-
If needed, click Validate Address.
If the address is invalid, click Fix Location, select an alternative serviceable location, and save your changes.
- To check the available services at the selected location, in the Serviceability Check Result section, select a category, and then click Check Serviceability.
- Click Next.
-
Review the move dates, new location, and asset details.
Note Only eligible assets are moved; ineligible assets remain unchanged.
- Click Next.
On the Summary tab, the Action column shows Disconnect for the assets located in the previous address, and Existing for the assets located in the new address.
After moving assets, you can finish creating the quote and submit the final orders.
Moving One or Multiple Assets That Have Linear Relationships to a New Location
To understand how assets that have linear relationships are moved, consider a linear relationship between two assets. In this example, consider that Business Internet Essential relies on UNI, where UNI is the related asset, and these assets are added to a quote for relocation.
Here are the abbreviations used in this example:
-
Business Internet Essential located in the previous address: A1
-
Business Internet Essential located in the new address: A2
-
UNI located in the previous address: B1
-
UNI located in the new address: B2
| Scenario Within The Quote For Both Single and Bulk Change | Result |
|---|---|
| You only move Business Internet Essential (A1). | The Action column value of A1 appears as Disconnect, and the value of A2 appears as Existing. The Product Status column shows the status of the relationship—A1 is de-linked from B1, and A2 is linked to B1. |
| First, you move Business Internet Essential, and then you move UNI. | The Action column value of A1 and B1 appears as Disconnect, and the value of A2 and B2 appears as Existing. The Product Status column shows the status of the relationship—A1 and B1 are de-linked, and A2 and B2 are linked. |
