Assign a Recovery Agency to a Repossession Item

Line up the third-party agencies that will recover a vehicle, chosen by location, rating, and current workload.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To assign a recovery agency: Industries Repossession Management, cloned with the Repossession Specialist User system permission enabled (optional)

The repossession request must be approved. Partner accounts with Business Partner Type Recovery Agency must exist. See Recovery Agency Assignment for Repossession Items.

  1. Open the Repossession Item record for the vehicle you want to recover.
  2. On the Repossession Item Vendors related list, click Assign Agency.
  3. Enter an agency name, a postal code, or both, and click Search.
  4. Review the search results to compare agencies by name, location, rating, status, and current assignments.
  5. Select the checkbox for one or more agencies to assign.
  6. Click Submit.

Salesforce creates an active assignment for each agency you select, and the assigned agencies appear on the Repossession Item Vendors related list.
