Search for and assign third-party recovery agencies to a repossession item, so a specialist can coordinate vehicle recovery.

Note For admins: Add Recovery Agency as a value on the Business Profile's Business Partner Type
field. It doesn't ship as a value on that dynamic picklist. Then create partner accounts and
Business Profiles with Business Partner Type Recovery Agency, and link each profile to a Service
Territory. See Create Business Profiles in Automotive.
Automotive Repossession models a recovery agency from existing Salesforce records rather than a new object:
- Each agency location is an Account enabled as a partner account.
- The Account's Business Profile has a Business Partner Type of Recovery Agency. Search returns only those accounts.
- The Business Profile links to a Service Territory (city, state, postal code, and address; its active state renders as service status) and carries a rating.
- Automotive stores each assignment as a Repossession Item Vendor record with an active indicator. An optional Repossession Item User record assigns a specific person to the item, optionally tied to one of the assigned agencies.
From the Repossession Item Vendors related list, specialists search by name or postal code, compare agencies, and assign one or more. See Assign a Recovery Agency to a Repossession Item.
Note Capturing the purpose of an assignment isn't supported in the current workflow.
