Remove Topics from Chatter Posts

If a topic no longer applies to a Chatter post, you can remove it.

To remove topics from posts: Assign Topics

You can remove topics from Chatter posts in the feed, whether they’re regular topics or hashtag topics. Removing topics—whether below or inside the post, like hashtags—doesn’t delete them altogether. It only removes them from the post. Before you remove a topic from a post, consider whether you or someone else added it. Someone that you’re not aware of may be tracking updates using topics.

  1. In the top corner of the post, click Feed drop-down arrow.
  2. Click Edit Topics.
  3. Click Remove topic next to the topic you want removed from the post.
  4. Click Done or press ENTER.

Removing a topic from a post removes the post from the topic feed on the topic detail page and from the feeds of any followers.
