Note When the owner of a Chatter group is deactivated, the deactivated user still owns the
group. But a user with the Modify All Data permission can assign a new owner for a public
or private group. For unlisted groups, a user with the Manage Unlisted Groups permission
can assign a new owner.
- On the group’s detail page, click Change Roles.
-
To search for members, start entering a name in the search box.
You can sort the list between Managers and All Members
-
Select the Manager checkbox for the people that you want to be
managers.
Customers who are group managers can see people who ask to join the group, even if they aren't in other common groups. They can also approve requests.
To change the group owner, you must own the group or have the right permission. Anyone with the Modify All Data permission can change the owner in public and private groups. Anyone with the Manage Unlisted Groups permission can change the owner for unlisted groups. To assign a new owner, click the Group Settings link next to the current owner.
