Keep these considerations in mind when using history tracking.

History tracking is only available for calculated insights. History tracking isn't available for streaming or real time insighst.

Changes that affect the schema of a source calculated insight object (CIO), such as adding a new measure, truncate the history CIO data and remove existing history. History tracking resumes with the new schema on the next history job run.
To retain history data, create a new source calculated insight and turn on history tracking for it. -
History tracking doesn’t impact billing for the source calculated insight. History tracking CIO billing is under the Data Queries usage type. See Billing Considerations for Insights.
