Tender Business and Personal Checks in the POS App

The POS app supports both personal and business checks as a tender type. For business checks, only the check amount and check number are required. For personal checks, users can turn on or disable verification. If verification is enabled, all fields—routing number, check number, account number, check amount, and license details—must be entered. If disabled, only the check number, check amount, and license details are required.

To add personal and business checks as a tender type, see Multitendering in the POS App.

Business checks don't trigger any payment system or check validation service. They only need the check amount and check number to be entered in the POS app, and all other fields are optional.

Validate personal checks based on the CMS configuration. If validation is required, a payment gateway must be integrated with UTA as the only currently supported service. See Payment Gateway Configuration.
