Registers CMS Configuration and Setup

Set up Point of Sale (POS) registers in CMS so you can turn them on for your store.

Enable Registers

To enable POS registers, turn on the app setting in your current active app. To do this:

  1. In CMS, go to Apps \> Store.
  2. Select your active app config.
  3. Go to Modules \> POS.
  4. Turn on the Has POS Registers app config setting.
  5. Select SAVE to save the app setting.

Approval Modes for Registers

There are two different approval modes for registers:

  • Pre-Provisioned — Select this option if you want to enforce what devices can be used as a POS register or if you want to enforce what kind of peripherals you want the POS register to communicate with.
  • Self-Registered — Select this option if you only want to keep track of all the devices being used as POS registers and were manually self-registered.

Configure Provisioning Mode

  1. In CMS, go to Store Management \> POS Store Settings.
  2. Enable POS Registration Approval Mode
  3. Configure the setting and select Save.

Store Register Number

You can set the starting and ending register numbers within a store.

  1. Go to Store Management \> Store Settings \> Store Register.
  2. Click the 'Add' icon on the right to add the following settings:
    • Store Register \> Prefix to be used for store register ID
    • Store Register \> Starting number for store register ID
    • Store Register \> Ending number for store register ID

    These settings will be when there's no explicit "Register ID" assigned to a register.
