Manage Registers

Add, monitor, and maintain POS registers in Point of Sale CMS.

Accessing the Registers Screen

You can access your store registers in the CMS on the store listing page.

  1. Go to Store Management > Store to access your store listing.
  2. Select Registers (cash register icon) for that store listing.

View Registers Screen

The View Registers screen provides you with a view of a store's registers. You can change which store you're looking at by selecting another store from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

This screen provides visibility of Active Registers, Inactive Registers, and DeletedRegisters.

Tip
Tip You can add a new register by clicking Create at the top of the page. You can edit an existing register by clicking the edit icon on that register.

Create and Edit Registers

You must enter a value or all required fields. Refer to POS Activation & Register Setup for more details. After all required fields are filled out, you can save the register by clicking Save. Clicking Cancel takes you back to the register view page.

The installation ID can be found on the initial activation of the POS app on your device. Make note of that ID and select it when creating the register. Verify between the two IDs as it's case-sensitive.

Note
Note IP address isn't a required field for enabling the register.

Additional Cash Drawer Settings

If you're using Self-Registered Approval Mode and don't want to reconfigure the registers, you can change the cash drawer's behavior.

  1. Go to the register of interest and scroll down to the Cash Drawer section.
  2. Set Cash Drawer Mode POS Store settings (this setting has three possible modes):
    • Disconnected Cash Drawer
      • In this mode, the cash drawer isn’t connected to the POS Register and the POS Register won’t communicate with the cash drawer. This setting prefills the cash payment prompt with the complete order amount for cash payment done from the unified cart.
    • Connected Cash Drawer
      • In this mode, the cash drawer is expected to be connected to the POS Register and the POS Register will attempt to communicate with the cash drawer during cash operations.
    • Cash Drawer Via External URL
      • In this mode, each cash drawer is assigned a specific QR code and it will be used by POS Register to scan and communicate with that cash drawer. POS Register can scan the QR code just in time for the cash handling operation.
