You can use Salesforce Payments and Pay Now independently or in conjunction with Salesforce Commerce. Choose a license based on the features you need, and whether you want only payment processing or a comprehensive checkout experience.

The license options are:
- Salesforce Payments standalone license—You can purchase a Salesforce Payments license to accept payments using Pay Now without having a Commerce license. The Salesforce Payments license is available from the self-service Your Account app.
- Salesforce Payments + Commerce license—To gain a comprehensive Commerce checkout experience, you can purchase Payments together with one of the Commerce licenses: B2B, D2C, Connected Commerce, or Order Management.
