Configure Single Sign-On to Enable Merchant Agent Features

For the Merchant Agent to work, the agent requires that you configure single sign-on (SSO) between B2C Commerce and Salesforce. Use Account Manager or Salesforce as the Identity Provider (IdP) to establish the trust relationship between the two applications.

Before you begin, make sure that you have:

  • Admin access to Account Manager.
  • Admin access to your Salesforce org (permission to manage Auth Providers).
Identity provider Configuration Tasks
Account Manager
  • Add an API Client in Account Manager.
  • Add Account Manager as an Auth Provider in your Salesforce org.
Salesforce

If Salesforce is the IdP, the setup depends on whether the B2C Commerce instance connects to a Salesforce production org or to a sandbox org.

  • If your connection is to a production org, configure a login flow at the primary Salesforce org. No Auth Provider is necessary.
  • If your connection is to a sandbox org:
    • Create an External Client App in the production org.
    • Configure the Auth Provider in the sandbox org.
