The SiteGenesis application comes with embedded gift certificate functionality for B2C Commerce, but you can also implement it on an existing application. - Create a Gift Certificate
Create an individual gift certificate in Business Manager and set its value and status. Because you can't stage gift certificates, create and manage them in your Production environment. After a certificate is created, its value is fixed and can only be redeemed. - Mask a Gift Certificate Code
In B2C Commerce, a gift certificate code is sensitive data, so make sure that only the recipient has access to the code throughout the creation and redemption process.
