Every metric includes one or more insights that you can explore to learn more about your data. When more insights have been detected for a metric, you can click suggested questions in the Discover Insights panel to open those insights.

Open a metric to view and explore its details.
- In the Tableau Next home page, open a metric by clicking the name in a metric card or clicking Open in the action menu.

In the metric page, view the metric and scroll down to see the top insight for that metric.
If more insights have been detected, they are displayed in the Discover Insights panel.
- On a metric page, click Discover Insights to open and close the Discover Insights panel. The Discover Insights panel includes other insights and suggested questions for the metric.
- Click a suggested question to open the insight that answers that question.

Metrics insights give you a quick snapshot of the data you care about in Tableau Next. Every metric includes insights that Tableau Next automatically detects.
