Reuse Widgets Across Dashboards and Workspaces

Maintain design consistency and speed up your workflow by copying widgets across pages and workspaces in Tableau Next. Use standard keyboard shortcuts to duplicate components while preserving all custom formatting, colors, and styles.

User Permissions Needed
To edit Tableau Next dashboards:	Tableau Unmetered Platform Analyst or Tableau Next Platform Analyst permission set

Note Make sure that you have access to the destination workspace. If you're pasting into a different workspace, verify that the underlying data sources are available in the destination to keep the widget functional.

1. Open the dashboard containing the widget that you want to copy.
2. Select the widget on the dashboard.
3. Copy the widget by using the keyboard shortcut for your operating system:
   1. macOS: Press Command+C
   2. Windows: Press Ctrl+C
4. Go to the destination dashboard or workspace page.
5. Paste the widget by using the keyboard shortcut for your operating system:
   1. macOS: Press Command+V
   2. Windows: Press Ctrl+V
