| To create a Tableau Next Exploratory Org: | Tableau Next Admin permission set |
Consider the following details and limitations of Exploratory Orgs:
- Each analyst is allowed one Exploratory Org.
- The total number of Exploratory Orgs is limited to 100 or the total Creator licenses purchased, whichever is fewer.
- Creation can take up to an hour.
- If an analyst loses their Tableau Next license, they also lose access to their Exploratory Org and all its content. Reassigning the license restores access.
- In Tableau Next, click Administration, and then click Settings.
- Under Manage Users, click Users.
-
Select the user who you want to enable a Exploratory Org for.
The user must be assigned the Tableau Self-Service Analyst or Tableau Platform Analyst permission set to access a Exploratory Org.
-
On the user’s Exploratory Org tab, click
Create Exploratory Org.
After the Exploratory Org is created, the owner will get a notification email. The next time the analyst logs in to Tableau Next, they will see a Exploratory Org in the bottom left of their workspace.
