Create a Report or Dashboard Subfolder in Lightning Experience
You can create report or dashboard folders within other report or dashboard folders in Lightning Experience. Up to 3 subfolder levels are allowed.

| To create report folders: | Create Report Folders permission and manage access for the root folder in the tree |
| To create dashboard folders: | Create Dashboard Folders permission and manage access for the root folder in the tree |
- Open the parent folder on the Analytics, Reports, or Dashboards tab.
- On the Analytics tab, select Create | Lightning | Folder, or on the Reports or Dashboards tab, click New Folder.
- Name the subfolder. The name must be unique. You can’t have more than one report or dashboard folder with the same name as another report or dashboard folder.
- Click Save.
The subfolder is created and added to the list of items in the folder you started from. You can select the subfolder when saving a report or dashboard.
