About Tableau Agent: Semantic Modeling
Tableau Agent is the assistant in the Semantic Model Builder. You describe a change to the open semantic model, and Tableau Agent applies that change. You also edit the canvas in the same session. Edits from Tableau Agent and edits that you make on the canvas stay pending until you save or discard them. When you discard, the semantic model returns to the last saved version. If you leave Tableau Agent before you save, Tableau Agent drops the unsaved changes. A save or a discard applies to every pending edit from that session.
Review Changes lists each modification that remains from the session, such as an added data object. A change that you add, update, and then remove leaves no entry in Review Changes. Assistant Log lists each request that you sent in the session. Use Review Changes to see what still differs from the last save. Use Assistant Log to see what you asked Tableau Agent to do.
Tableau Agent answers and changes only the open semantic model. With read access, or when the model is in preview, Tableau Agent answers and leaves the model unchanged.
Model Health is unavailable while Tableau Agent is open. The Optimize Model panel shows Model Health: Disabled and Unavailable in Tableau Agent mode. Ask Tableau Agent for relationship suggestions and descriptions.
To edit or refine a semantic model using Tableau Agent, apply a change, see Edit a Semantic Model with Tableau Agent: Semantic Modeling (Beta).

Ask the Tableau Agent to suggest a relationship, a description, or another change to the open semantic model. Review the edits, and then save or discard them.
